Fish'in

Missing image
Fish'in
by the ocean
near the sea
fresh water
lakes and streams
they are all
alright with me.

Fish'in
with a plastic worm
some wigglie kind of thing
shrimps and minnows
silvers and flats
crickets and breadballs
livers and snacks

Fish'in
Over yonder
up stream
down stream
down yonder
beaneath that old oak tree

As long as we're
Fishin
Its all alright
with me!

Family fish frys and get to gatherings, with blue gill, bass to snapper and grouper. Everyone both young and old can equally enjoy themselves.

Fishing is great fun, this is a very good poem.
The pictures really made it come alive for me.
Around here we get both salt and fresh water fishing.

aw, this is so cute; all kids should grow up around fishing and have their own poles. Love the pics.

I'm glad you liked it - my grandkids enjoy fishing, here in South Florida it is a very popular pass time. Bonus for the big fish can become dinner

a lovely light poem, I'd love to go fishing, another one of those dreams that I do not have time to make real, but I'd have to put the fish back in the water. thankyou for taking me fishing.

The tournament went well that day it was a catch and release. We love to go fishing whenever we have free time - we live on the water here in South Florida - near the everglades.
      Thank you for reading me.
      Sincerely,
      Cheryl

  • This is cute. I like the poem. If I had to fish for my food I would be dead. I have never been able to catch anything to say so.

Mike, Thank you for your support

My Grandchildren keep me on my toes. This is actually a fishing tournament held by Bass Pro Shops in South Florida. Junior Catagory of under twelve years old. We won far more than any trophy that day. The memories are golden moments my grandsons shall remember.
I'm glad you liked it. Respectfully Yours, Cheryl

Tranquil, I can visualize when my older son, now 18 knew how to tackle every spot, watching the fishing programs and then sounding like a encyclopedia on fishing around his father and step father, thank you for the memory of that, this is definately a delightful write and pictures too. Blessings.

      Kind Sir,
Your right about the work ethic,
We were raised to earn our way and to never be left in a position where we can not provide food for ourselves.

There is a saying - To eat for a day - give a fish - to eat for a lifetime - teach them how to fish.
      Best Regards,
      Cheryl
