    Hoodwinked!

This is brilliant. The imagery is absolutely stunning, your word choice amazing.

I could picture him waiting, as she glided toward him and it caught my breath.

Sorry that I am late with the hoodwink!

You've given me one image, and my mind completes the picture. I see a bride gracefully walking down the aisle with that magnolia blossom in her cascading hair.... I can almost taste its scent in the air. Beautiful. Your writing is simply elegant.

    This was so beautiful!!

    • Thank you Shannon. I am such a hopeless romantic. Don't ever come to me with love issues because I will have you walking down that aisle faster than you can say "Holy Cow!" lol

    It's good

I forgot to say I feel happy and youthful as I watch my gal . She is such a sweet girl You must be the girl.
Now if you could only teach me to do that kind of writing.

    • I am glad you liked this Brother Bob. I like short forms so I look for contests that ask for specific word lengths and I enter them - when my Muse is around, that is... The best teacher for writing is writing. Just do as much as you can. This website is perfect for the beginner and the more advanced writer because there is so much to write and so many who will read.

I am, btw, not your "girl" but an old married school marm!!!

Have a blessed almost spring day.

    Wow

Brief and airy with a strong focus I am the guy in this seen . I am by the old southern house waiting on the porch for my gal .
I like when I can picture my self in the seen

  • I really liked this poem. It was simple and almost euphoric in a way. This is the type of poem I would expect to read in a short book or on a freelance writing page. I really enjoyed this poem and I can't wait to read another.

    Gorgeous Imagery!

Wow, Sis, this is such a stunning piece; the visual is incredibly crystal clear! I still maintain that you are the master of few words speaking volumes. I think I even caught a hint of the magnolia's sweet scent. Give this art the GOLD!

    Luv & hugs, SisBon

    • Thanks so much sweet Sis!

I have always loved the magnolia blossom. I know some think it gaudy and outlandish, but I think it is elegant! Perhaps one day, the Lord will give me a magnolia tree!
