It must be so confusing,
The lies and the pain.
He say he loves you,
That you're going to be okay.
He turns on you
When you least expect it.
He makes you sob,
Then says he didn't mean it.
The bruises you recieve
Add a crack in your heart.
The black eyes you get
Completely tear you apart.
You try to run,
You try to hide.
All that you achieve
Is getting knocked aside.
He doesn't understand
The damage he has done.
He doesn't realize
That he hasn't won.
He comes home from the bar,
You hide away at night.
You know what he does is bad,
You know it isn't right.
One day he'll realize
What he does is wrong.
Maybe after it's too late,
His suffering will be lifelong.

I got inspired by Serenity Silvermoon. thanks you so much for getting me writing again! This is one of the saddest things that I have written. I hope you all see the meaning, especially if you read this and abuse your children. I hope none of you storywrite members out there abuse your children or wives or anyone else in your family, including the women out there, because it is wrong.

this is such a powerful poem. i think it could send a message to those who abuse to stop, because it just isnt right. noone deserves to feel that pain. its just not right. but i really love this poem. it says alot. i love the lines: "the bruises you recieve add a crack in your heart, the black eyes you get completely tear you apart." those were very heartwrenching lines. this whole poem is amazing and i hope that it can send a message to those who do abuse and maybe they will stop. wow sorry for rambling, this was just such a good poem :]
