Free me from the agony of this darkness,
emancipate me from the monsters that imprisoned me.
Oh God, break the iron chains that keep me away from the light,
give me my freedom to roam this earth as a human being....
don't leave me here to go blind without a path to take.
I beg you, oh Lord, save me from this torment...
this torment other men have pressed into my heart.
Take away this dark shroud of fear and give me light...
Lord, give me light to help me find a way out of this cage.
Give me strength to bear the pain my heart is heavy with,
give me hope to keep the light of my faith going.
I am but a man, a servant of yours, my Lord,
leave not your faithful servant in the dark...
free me from this dead air that has envolped me.
I beg you, Lord...help me rekindle my faith,
give me strength to fight the mosters who try to keep me from you.
