Most people are easy to read.
When you spend as much time
alone
as I do,
you spend a lot of time
just thinking.
Thinking about thinking.
Most people think
the mind
is insanely complex,
but it's not.
It's really quite simple.
Too simple
for out simple minds to handle.
And so we think they're complex.

Most people are easy to read.
We're all the same
and our differences
are what's most obvious
and most shallow
but deep down
we're the same person
with the same habits.
The same feelings
and thoughts
and the same ways
of hiding
and expressing
what little individuality
we have.

Most people are easy to read.
Everyone's trying to fit in
and at the same time
be original
but we're all being original
in the same way.
Sometimes
it's hard to tell
where one of us ends
and another begins.

Most people are easy to read.
We can't help
the subconscious yearning
to fit the cookie cutter,
to mold ourselves against
the cool metal edges
to feel whole again.

Most people are easy to read
except for you.
You're different.
You're different and
sometimes,
it's so frustrating.
You're different
and I like it.
