AP To Me

as thoughts rumble…
a poem a day!
an addiction
I cannot relinquish
pressed hard against
my keyboard
each stroke-- a  letter to
idle keys
becomes a string
of words

they speak of life,
love,
          nature
rainbows wished upon,
but never traveled

and in a tidy bundle;
my litany of memories
paged like a book,
come glary eyes

poet to poet-
we are,
of the same fine thread;
weaving our words
on allpoetry’s web

tomorrow- my friend,
I will greet you,
again

    excellent expression

    Your words do a very good job of telling about the addiction that most of us have to AP. I guess it could be worse....like alcohol, and many other addictions that I won't go into.
    I especially like this stanza:

    "and in a tidy bundle;
    my litany of memories
    paged like a book,
    come glary eyes"

    Good luck in this contest!

    You took the words right out of my keyboard. I think that is how most people feel about Ap. I hope you take home to gold.

  • Good...

    this is really good. I enjoy the shortness because I guess that I think short poems are easier to understand. Good job and the very best of luck in my contest... 5 stars <3
