all things have lived and died.
All things show wear and tare of time past,
all things in time are shared then cast aside.
Death shows its face in many forms,
none have beauty as they pass.
for the world has its way of doing harm,
it's the way of the sands of the hour glass.
Heartbreak is one grain cast away,
laughter is one grain
that mends a tear they say.
Being deep in thought
is one grain yet never shared,
for in life at times a grain does fall
where we find no one cares.
The gnarly root upon the beach
where life left through time,
once stood proud and lovely
yet was cast one day aside.
Look not at the past my friend,
look forward and you shall see,
little time we have to go in reverse
for the sands of time
are in the lead.
Author notes
We are given one day at a time in our life just as the animals the trees and the plants upon this earth . We can live in sorrow and pain or live with happiness and a life without pain . When you live in sorrow you seo hear the grains of sand fall they become a weight upon you and your life tries to stall .But to stand proud and build a life of goodness and freedom indeed you shall live a life as free and full of beauty as the sea

Although I had a little trouble following the flow at first I easily got the message coming through in the poem. Good luck in the contest.
