Wristwatch.

I sit here and think about how much time I spent thinking
About the time I wanted to spend being someone you said
Sweet things to or wanted to be around for more than a
Fleeting moment barely glancing over as I'm sure you did.

I realize this time was in such high amounts that it brought me down
And took away from the happiness life normally shared with me
I let it become my life and I lost all of the seconds I could have smiled
Now I talk to you and I remember hours of time you've taken from me

Since I gave up I've been counting clocks
Wondering What it all meant
Since I'm done the clocks wont stop
And I keep losing time over you.

My watch stopped for the first time in a long while
The batteries were dead and needed to be replaced
Even though the clock stopped time goes on and on
And no matter how much I hurt my heart beats on and on.

Should I be ashamed of myself for waiting and not trying
To do something on my own without your approval
Well now I'm done and the dials keep spinning
But I'm finally learning how to stop.

Since I gave up I've been counting clocks
Wondering What it all meant
Since I'm done the clocks wont stop
And I keep losing time over you.

I've wrote so many words over things that never matter
It'll be years before anyone can really understand
If it never meant more than these sighs to you
It meant everything to me and I'm still waiting

Since I have given up I'm counting all the clocks
Wondering if it'll ever have a meaning
Since I finished the clocks wont stop
And I can't stop losing time over you.

*is still singing the beautiful song by Mayday Parade that makes my heart swell and flutter and cry with love*

My favorite part is the chorus.
Absolute favorite because it actually SOUNDS like lyrics to a song I've heard before, even though it isn't.
    Keep writing your loveliness.
