Unexplained absences
Months of us not talking

You hadn’t forgotten me

Someone else had just temporarily stolen my heart
Unknown reasons of confusion
Filled my heart and my head
Whenever you’d text me
Never being able to explain to anyone why
This other guy
He had the key to my heart
And I wouldn’t have changed that for anything
But as soon as he let go, you were there to catch it as it fell.
Forgetting you was and still is the impossible.
