Fur soft and sleek
orange orbs hidden
night time danger.
~ ♥ ~
Pretator on prowl
victim beware
teeth tears flesh.
~ ♥ ~
Tongue cleans self
as eyes keep watch,
soft purrs heard.
~ ♥ ~
Moment of fullfillness
curls into a ball
eyes now resting.
~ ♥ ~
Ears ever listening
twitching at times
never a dull moment.
~ ♥ ~
Could you say no,
to owning a kitten
for your own pet?

Really loved this -- "felt" like a cat walking, those soft padded short steps -- never a wasted movement, just as you have no wasted words. I enjoyed how each phrase has intensity and meaning, and of course, the answer to the last stanza, is "of course not" -- I have two!

I have seven cats in my home. For I love cats, I have a black one with orange eyes, a white fluffy one with silver eyes, two white calicos with green eyes, a silver point simese with blue eyes, a fluffy orange longhair, and of course a torquise shell.
