It was the fight that ended it all
a relationship worth living without
I kissed my true love good-bye for the last time
in my sleep and I drifted away
The morning broke through
a crimson awakening
thinking, wishing I were somewhere else
a second chance not worth giving
I opened my eyes
to how black and white life really is
how you lose that one person you care about most
and everything comes crashing down
your touch is cold
distant now
farther away from me as drive closer
Like driving a nail through a heart that just won't start
the look in your eyes is just painful
and the tears plumet from these eyes
and I cant help but stand still
for turning away is just another regret
I let go because it's all I could do
living in the past was not a good option
as the tears stream down like a raging river
we walk away, move on, the only option we have.

Beautiful
I love the last line. It really sums up the poem and it shows how you feel about the relationship. Great job!

such tragedy
Every word posed another vivid heart wrenching spasm. wonderful and eloquent. Thankyou for sharing such heartfelt torment.

This is so sad. I know how you and never truly does fade over time. Your first love is your first love and you will always love them no matter what.
