to Cindy Guido, With Love

Missing image
Coming of age, I hadn’t known a mother’s love.
I felt neglected, abandoned and abused.
Never imagining a love as you showed,
Depending only on hatred and the past,
You came, unexpectedly, yet, welcomed.

Giving your heart and soul as a mother could,
Unusually showing acceptance and kindness so sweet,
I didn’t understand the love you gifted me with.
Days have passed and we’ve grown apart, but not the way I feel.
OH Mighty God has blessed me with knowing you.

Author notes

That is the most beautiful heart. This is wonderful, It sounds like a lady that took me under her wing, and everything is the same way as your poem. Thank you very much.
