Colors of My Soul

The color of my soul,
A swirling black abyss.
Spirit of a new moon,
Nothing but darkness.

A midnight blue,
A crimson red.
Colors of my spirit.
Colors of the dead.

The black of the ocean floor,
The pink of the setting sun.
The colors of my life,
Simple as one plus one.

    This was beautifully dark. I liked the rhyme scheme and the color comparisons, they made it vivid. Overall, this is dreary, melancholy, and yet, lovely. Well done.
