The look in her eyes
The fear they hide
She walks through the crowd
Ignoring the faces
Because It doesn't matter
What they think of her
Or thats what she keeps telling herself
They don't really know her
Or Care
As long as she cringes
When the draw near
The truth of the matter
Is very dire
Because each day
She is farther from
The girl that used to smile
Closer to the girl
That cries at night
But they don't care
As long as they bet their laughs
Her friends try to protect her
But she pulls away
Afraid of what they will think of her
Her friends exchange glances
And pull her closer
Embracing her in the warmth
Bringing back for a time
The girl that smiles
Author notes
Its seems that each day I see children being picked on. Their spirits are diminished except for when their with people who care for them. People think they know what really goes on In Junior High Schools ,and Middle School ,but Is so much worse.
Please tell me what you think

Lorien! This is EXCELLENT!
it is very true and indeed a lot of people feel this, and if they don't they understand it. I like how you make it very vivid to your readers!
This is definitely one of your best,
keep it up!
