A long time ago
When I was six
I was captured by some wizards
Who knew a lot of tricks
The wizard in robes
Of a deep true blue
Covered in moons and stars
As I counted them two by two
And in lavender robes
Was his wife
Also with stars and moons
As if they had life
The castle was bright
As bright as the moon
But in two days I changed my tune
They made me work
In the cold, snowy place
They made me work so fast
I felt like I was in a race
I worked twenty-four hours
Scrubbing floors
Cooking dinner
Washing doors
But what caught me by surprise
Was a giant tree
It always lived
And was evil as can be
I wondered why
The tree was here
Then, I thought
"Oh dear"
It's been three weeks
I'll never see my mom again
When can I run away?
When? When?"
I started right away
Making plans every day
But no plans worked
There had to be some way
The very next day
Was a whole different story
I was out working
When I found my glory
I got up at dawn
And hopped on a fawn
We ran away from there
Disappearing into the air
Then, the wizards came out
With a little knickknack
They screamed
"We need you! Come back! Come back!"
Next I awoke
All covered with drool
My dog had licked me
Saying "It's time for school!"

This was a dream I had when I was quite young. I thought it was cute so I decided to post it.

This is cute NIC! It reminded me of a fantasy/dream/childhood full of mystery.

Narcissus this was very imaginative and a very good write. When reading this poem it was as if I was living this dream. You are a great poet and keep up the good work
