"Terror of Wars"

Living in fearfulness
The dread never seems to cease
Pain, agony and the threat to human life
The name is 'TERROR '
The face of modern humanity
Throwing mortal lives into a swivet
Vehemence running amok in violent frenzy
Demoniacal creatures out on the prowl
The designers of 'THEOTERRORISM'

Human life lying inanimate on the streets
In pools of blood lie pieces of flesh
Like morsel of meat in the slaughter house
Encompassed in dread and excruciating pain
The injured overpowered with grief
Human lives lie tattered and torn

Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat
Lahore, New York, Bangalore, Pentagon, London
09/11,07/11,05/14,07/25,09/14,26/11
How many more serial bombings?
How many more twin tower attacks?
How many more train bombings?
How many more hostage dramas?
No place spared
No where to go
No where we feel safe

The government making false promises
Deceitful and disloyal are the policymakers
Who is to be blamed?
The demons of terror called 'jehadis'
Or the government in its gluttony for power
Who can be held responsible?
The fiendish creatures running berserk spreading dismay
Or the legislation and its meaningless policies

We wish to live and breathe in fresh air
Spreading the message of blessedness and peace
Brother and sisters living in harmony
But when will it be?
That we will ever see peace again?

Save your creation from being ruined
O creator of the world, save us from the turbulence
From the turmoil that is threatening the harmoniousness
From the clutches of the satans frenetically running wild
Spreading the 'TERRORS OF WAR'
The omnipotent, omniscient ruler of the universe
We pray to you humbly...

    i really liked this

    but in my eyes

    it lacks poetic parts

    im sorry

i feel so mean saying it

    but its really good

and i quite like it because its different x

  • No, sorry.

This seemed to lack imagery but had a good structured idea of the world "terror". With the use of more metaphor and other poetic devices this would be superb. But that's just my opinion. Thanks for entering.

  • no. sorry, but this seemed more like a rant than a poem.

  • no.

A moving piece of poetry about something which effects us all. You've used some effectively strong imagery here. Good luck in the contest.

  • Wonderfully written i really like the language used.
The implications that you left are realyl amazing form my point of view. And its simply ment. In that each line is left with complicated words but a simple meaning such as :

"Vehemence running amok in violent frenzy"

I loved that line alot! It made me happy lol.

"The omnipotent, omniscient ruler of the universe"

In this line you used one of my favorite words. Omniscient. It is a wonderfully descriptive word.

Thank you for entering and good luck.

Yes enough is enough already, to think on this, well written and profound graphic images. Blessings.

Very graphic, full of frustration... I completely agree with every word you've written here. We do not live in a world full of hate; we live in a world scattered with haters. A well-controlled and fluent write which made me reflect. Thank you for entering!

you speak for many with this poem, my friend...our countrymen and women are being molded with fear and distraction, and i know how very frightening the grand scale view can be...millions herded into unsafe pasture..led to slaughter..and still no one refuses? what has happened to the voice of the people? it seems it has fallen to the poets to express...
the only advice i can offer to you is to boycott the media..newspapers, television..all of it. my life got a lot better after i did this.
a line from a jewel song comes to my mind just now.."lift your voices only to sounds of freedom..no longer lend your strength to that which you wish to be free from.."
..i myself feel that we are all to blame..but that's just me.
    good write..i felt your fear..
