Follow the Leader

I've been inside these walls for days.
All these people have a twin
I've run out of things to say
My words rot and fall away.
Fearing I'll never see you again.

Breaking in to tell me the news.
President's ice has been broken through.
And though the world still sings the blues
While the puddles splash my shoes.
Like rhyming tragedy we never knew.

I can't wait to see the day
The leader will come out and say
Where we need to be
And what to put away
Save us from the wrong inside
The cataclysm standing by

Follow the leader and fall with your selfish pride.

It seems my mind just can't comprehend.
My throat, it's craving drink.
My heart, it wants to mend.
My pride wants to defend.
Yet my brain can't seem to think

And I want to rip things off the walls.
Punch til I can't feel my hands
Drive until I can't see him fall
Yell so I can't hear the call
Bleeding on to feet I stand.

Well I can't hardly wait
To see them get put into their place
For doing this to him
Their butterfingers digging in
Infecting every orifice 
Loving lofty ignorant bliss
They clap their hands
I clench my fist.

I can't wait to see the day
The leader will just say
Where they need to be
And what to hide away
Save him from the wrong behind
The cistern doors, it's homicide.

It's been three weeks today.
Since I saw you broken brain.
