sensing your nearness
aware of all
your words I could not hear
though your touch resounding
I ran from you
knowing it was too late
afraid of inner closeness
as you entered with residence
my mind was deaf to your touch
but my heart heard every word

Thank you so very much for the gold trophy, I just now saw that I won or I would have said thank you before NOW. Must have been an oversight. This prompt spoke to my heart and I usually write better when my heart is speaking.

Yes, yes, we fear what we have not had, like a child from the tales of long ago, told at night to scare us. I used to hate hearing them, i would be afraid to go outside, thinking something would get me.lol. I remained so until about 10 years.
Touchings sears the soul, like engraveing, forever it is there, cemented within our heart and mind, echoing throughout our bodies for eternity of time. We never forget, though we may try.
Well done, you have shared the feelings of your heart, listening to the touch flowing across your skin, ahhhhhhh, the heart never forgets. Thank you for the soft memories that I have inside. I liked the flow of this, gentle wirh compassion.

This is a most moving poem that resonates with me.I suspect we are all afraid of the inner closeness. Well done, once again, Chris.
