Stuck

I went to gather firewood
And much to my surprise
I came across this neighborhood
And heard these funny cries
A talking bear was in a tree
The bear was cold as he could be
A talking bear
A talking bear
To my surprise he talked to me

I went to gather firewood
And came across this bear
He spoke to me right where I stood
And told me to beware
He said; “look out” it happens fast
They’ll freeze you with a winter blast
He said; “look out”
He said; “look out”
“I’m stuck here like an iron cast”

I went to gather firewood
It happened like he said
They froze me like he said they would
I could not move ahead
I’m frozen stiff and stuck right here
The winter winds are quite severe
I’m frozen stiff
I’m frozen stiff
I might thaw out within a year

Thank you for your entry in the contest. A beautiful Trijan refrain that has taken the picture and spun a lovely story with words. A pleasure to read.

All the best in the contest.

I cannot find righ now the right words to tell you how I feel.It is just that reading your comments on the prose written in german, turned me to the fact that I might have something good-a few lines, words from my being that comes across souls and slightly touches them with a refreshing wind.Thank you.It meant a lot to me.The one in romanian...I am so highly sorry you have not conceived it yet.It is a part of my personal literature's pride.

Hey this is really cute. You are quite the poet and a word artist as well. A really funny poem also. I laughed as I read this one. It was 5am on a cold morning and we may even get a wisp of snow.

    I love the Trijan Refrain.

Of course thanks goes to you or I wouldn't know of it. It is my favorite form. They can be so much fun to read and a "bear" to write at times. Loved the poem.

Just fantastic. You do the Trijan Refrain better than anyone I see posting on AP. You just did an adorable poem here. It needs to be made into a card for giving out in winter time.

    You are a nut

Delicious Trijan refrain, I defy anyone to read this aloud without laughing.

The photo is superb and this makes a great accompaniment, now all I have to do is write something better ...
