In Night's Comfort

A life of pain,
veiled in shadow ~
    her heart longs for love

...but grieves in night's comfort,
for tho' she reaches out,
she can't seem to grasp

    that which she desires.

The two were of one soul

    ...but something's changed.

Neither understands the loss...

They can only hope

    it returns.
