Smoldering embers
within my soul,
thought quenched --
snuffed out by life's trials
-- subtly sparks life anew.
Storms had come,
bringing floods of depression,
pain, loss ~
timbers ablaze with glory
became waterlogged waste
...hope of reviving its' flame
was all but gone...
except for one
small
...spark.
Spirit-wind blows swiftly,
fanning the dim glow
-- causing it to brighten,
to re-ignite!
From the depths,
it burns once again ~
flames growing,
engulfing sodden kindling,
-- turning smoldering embers
into an engulfing infurno!
Oh, how I've missed
living so close to Your Holy Fire!
Burn within me,
consuming all, overlooking nothing...
...Let me, never again,
survive with merely a spark.
