Gestation Frustration

Neither bark, nor bite,
nor dark of night
could put an end to this contestation ~

begging, pleading,
gnawing and kneading
only added to her frustration...

Grumble and gripe,
nip, yip and yipe,
the argument lasted the duration ~

Mother gave in,
the pups will win...
she'll just revel during gestation.
