you remind me
of busy highways
with flickering neon lights
casting surreal threads
through crowds
you remind me
of the streetlights
that cast a fluorescent glow
amidst busy shadows at
one a.m.
you remind me
of loud cars
and angry drivers on wet nights
that play like a comedy outside
when we look out of our windows
you remind me
of the middle of
every street we passed, and the
traffic jams we spent listening to
old songs
you remind me
of that place,
without a name or a signboard-
that place when i knew i could
learn to love you.
