There's something missing .....
I can feel it deep inside my heart
it's hidden somewhere between the lines
of this letter you wrote to me.
As I started reading it, my eyes blured
the words you wrote chosen carefully
you're saying to me one thing,
yet I can see clearly it means another.
Silently hidden between each line
distorted by things still unspoken
hiding the truth neither could admit
that even you couldn't bear the pain.
Our life together is coming to its end
fading quickly away before our eyes
yet we refuse to admit it's happening
neither of us wanting it over.
Now my tears fall upon the paper
the ink runs and words scramble
my heart about to explode in pain
my world crumbling; our love ending.
Please erase it all, take it back
rewound the day, back up the time
give my life back the way it was
before I could read between the lines.
