A leap birthday tends to have drawbacks,
for one out of four years it impacts.
So you don't belly-ache
just go fill up on cake;
we'll do the work while you relax!
Author notes
Leap year birthdays are such quirky things, so I felt a little birthday limerick would do. If you go by the years you actually "have your birthday", you'll be young all your life! Just don't be afraid to spice things up a little.
Happy birthday, by the way!

I actually don't know anyone born
on leap year, it must be rare.
it definitely would have drawbacks--
cake every four years is just wrong!!

Great write!
Good luck in the contest!

Thanks! I know that one of my dad's friends liked to kid around how he was coming up on being a teenager, and then they'd have a crabby person who hated authority for a while. He was somewhere around eleven or twelve if you stick to the leap year as your birthday...

You're very welcome! I wonder what the odds are of actually being born on a leap year?

lol this was cute!
I'd never even thought about someone having a leap year birthday..... I'm sure as a child it would probably suck, but I'd definitely begin to appreciate it when I turned 30. lol
Good luck!
