(Letter to a Friend)

  My Dearest Friend,

                It's been a long time since we've talked, so much time has past, far to much time. Its been what, 13 years since we last saw one another, I know you have probably forgotten about me, but I think of you when ever I have time alone, my mind tends to wander back and I think of my few closeted friends; I remember my friends and brothers from church or school, but I remember you most of all, I remember daycare, playing games, having trouble falling asleep on those mats; I remember playing Gizmos & Gadgets at your house; I remember your love of horses, that last time I heard you were riding in tournaments, but that was a few years back. I haven't changed much....well I guess I have, but I live in the same house, go to the same green Church; I did move to my uncles for a few months but I came back......I miss you, I miss your infectious smile, I wish we'd kept in touch, I wish that about a few people none more than you though...I get mad at myself sometimes, because I can't remember more...it was such a long time ago, still it upsets me that I can't recall your name, well your full name or how to spell it correctly, I always was a terrible speller. I've tried to find you on myspace or facebook, but I haven't had much luck...and I figure you'll never get this or see it, but after all this time, I had to write down my throught...no matter how convoluted they are. I hope your doing well and are finding moments of hoy & happiness...I'm putting off writing some things because I don't know if you'll see this and if you do well I don't know what then... (I put in some personal stuff here that I don't want to share.)
