Lost Muse and A Mother's Pride

Missing image
'Creativity's feather rusted in my brain'
I wonder if I will ever write again

I sat and thought all day
but not a single word would come my way

What am I to do?
I wanted to say how proud I am of you

Where do I start?
With words right from my heart

I try again with pen in hand, but still no luck
my muse seems to be temporarily stuck

So I guess for now  you may need to be content with this
and of course,  a congratulatory kiss

A Father may feel joy
at the birth of a boy
                            but a Mother's pride
will always be hard to hide

Author notes

I combined ...7. prompt: Creativity's feather rusted in my brain and... 10. Write a dedication piece for someone (whether it be myself or anyone on my favourites list or even someone from your own AP inner circle - identify in notes). This is my tribute to my very talented son (whom I am sure you know very well...lol) to congratulate him on his book launch...Best of luck to you and all entrants

    HOODWINK!

Smiling at this loving write! I agree that mothers love their children in a special way. You can be rightly proud of this poem.
