like a cigarette to ice,
i melt through your lips and
fuse with your every atom.
wine and fire and forbidden fruit,
you will not forget me,
the way my tongue curls,
the hollow of my throat,
the plains of my skin--
my thighs
are the highway.
no one needs to know
i'm your escape route.

I love this interpretation of the song, the way you incorporated "no one has to know I'm your getaway" but changed it to "no one needs to know I'm your escape route." Could it be. . . almost- no, better than the song? Great write

Amazing indeed ..what a thought structure is weaved behind the words..?and what a depth and beauty is shown in the metaphors..?love it..

I love this! It is suggestive yet until the end seems so innocent.
"like a cigarette to ice,
i melt through your lips and
fuse with your every atom."
That was my favorite stanza. Thank you so much for the wonderful write.
