This is about the time when people are supposed to say,
"My whole life is coming together now," or at least wish it.
I never thought Heaven would take my prayer so literally.
If this were a movie, I'd say, "I see my life flashing before my eyes,"
'cause all these soft scenes from forever are lying there ... waiting for me.
I sit down and start patching,
and all the gaping holes in my tattered life
are closing up like so many flowers -
and I don't have to worry about falling through
the next time I take a step forward.
