Love in a forest

While I wander  leaf strewn paths,
which stretch eternally.
a whispering dove’s,  quiet laugh,
comes to beckon me

Sound of brook and sigh of breeze,
toss my hair, caress my cheek
They're kisses I care not to share,
save, with the lover I do seek.

Surely, when that lover comes,
we’ll leave this dreary world behind,
it is no chore, escaping from,
the bindings on my burdened mind.

To slip into the shadows, here,
and taste the wine of love so deep,
no vintage could fare better,
till passions cause my mind to leap.

Then leave me spent on a leafy mat,
where crushed herbs would give tales away,
when others wandering eyes recant,
the scene of gentle lovers play.
