My goodness, Gal, the things you've seen
in your one hundred years, I mean!
1909 – the year you came
The N double A C P was named
and now Obama's President-
Hip Hip Hooray for advancement!
That Admiral Peary reached the pole
when you were scarcely three months old
while Alice Huyler Ramsey drove
a car from New York to 'Cisco
(and was the first gal to do so.)
From trips to the outhouse to indoor plumbing...
I'd guess you were glad to see that coming.
What do you miss from days long past
and has the century passed too fast?
My goodness, Grannie, gracious me -
born to a world without TV
and now we all talk on the cell
and photoblogs to wish you well!
Congratulations Grannie Frankie
celebrating your Centennial Birthday!

awesome!
you're really good at rhyming.
the whole concept of rhyming poetry is tricky,
and you nailed it.
=) congrats! -
well, Jeezum crow - this one works really well with the paper moon, now that I see it here! I may have to include two Grannie paper moons...
