Color Blind

Is it the color of his skin
or the manner in which he walks?
Are people really listening
before they interrupt his talk?
They just don't get it!

My heart is open to the Word
perfection, holiness and Gods son
I'm sure he will help Mr. Obama
cause his job has just begun

I wish we were color blind
like the Native Americans before
Who's country would this be
need I speak my opinion anymore?
They just don't get it!

~~*~~

My prayers are with our President
that his steps are guided by God....
Maybe then hearts will be opened
cause so many eyes are blind
that odd superstition
leaving them in
wonderment!
Some will never get it!

In God We Trust

    Amen!

And so shall be mine...prayers to open other's eyes to see, and to lock down their tongues long enough, can't wait to see what the Lord will do. Well written. Blessings

this is written with a highly intelligent voice. you ask the right questions but the way you write shows that you have already contemplared the answers. i like the structure of it. the intonation that you have placed on this shows your spirit. my best in the contest.

    Wonderful!

You spoke with wisdom and grace.
This is a thought provoking piece
that gives direction to a lost people
    wondering in yesterday.
I thank God that change comes even
when you're not ready for it.
    After eight years of madness,
thank God for sanity and serenity.

Well spoken, and so true. Let's give President Obama his chance shall we? Like you, I go forth with a prayer in my heart; but I also feel firm in my belief that he will get us to a higher plateau. In my opinion, he has the strength of will, and the master plan to do so, with the aid of God always.

To the naysayers out there, I say "What has happened to your faith" Have you suffered so badly that you can no longer give your friendship and trust to anyone?"

Unfortunately, there will always be those who "just don't get it"; they are never willing to give anyone a chance.

The naysayers will have the chance to crow if things go badly [just ask the previous president], but to persist in their dark opinions now is just not called for.

There is many a day to come.

    I love you,
    Brazos

what a wonderful ending for the work
the theme, setting, so much to be hopeful for
now that the chief will take care of things correctly
    and
not mush it up like the last guy
    whatshisname (lol)
