(I wish) (I could) Love you because…

I wish to love you, for there is nothing I said I need to unsay
I could love you, because you understand me in some way

I wish to love you, but I can not simply do that for I am scared
I could love you, because heated passionate moments are shared
I could love you, because you are so calm and bring me rest
I wish to love you, but I am still not halfway back to being my best

I wish to love you, but there is still much clouding my mind
I could love you, because you are considerate and kind
I could love you, because loving is easier than being alone at times
I wish to love you, but there is still too much deflecting my rhymes

I wish to love you, but loving right now would be far too hard
I could love you, because you are one with a golden heart
I could love you, because you said I am now part of your world
I wish to love you, but my trust in anybody is still unfurled

I could love you, but not because I really wish I can
I wish to love you, but not until I find back who I am
