traded 'a young knuckle' for 'to the teeth'
sometimes friends as old as us, they do things like this.
eating in cars makes me think of exotic cultures
whole nations pot-bellied with staircase ribs,
and how a complete population of people
could cram in to share a hamburger in the scion country that is my car
reference play
although we keep serious and compliment each other well
we are beautiful animals
shaking back balding manes
i like the word moxy
maybe because i think of aluminum cans
and my father always delt scrap for a living
now i deal scrap
bits of paper, fabric, linolium i've chipped up from the downstairs bathroom floor
i give these pieces over
like bail bonds
collateral for your friendship
so the two of us can remain that way
just somewhat free
