Something about Airplanes

The sun flamed colors through misshapen blinds
Cascading on my colorless hands with life
Like a sleepless painter stroking tie-dye dreams upon a naked canvas
Drowning my veins with whimsical vibrancy

Rushed electricity awakens my body from the silence of the night
Sending icy pins down my spine and through my chest; the fortress of my heart
Like a spider weaving through my emotions with her needless thread

A sudden jerk and the bell chimes
Seat belts fly off laps and luggage collapses into excited hands
The longing of waiting relatives hangs in the air like a cold shower
As I sit there in my puddle of desires
The only destination wanting to land
Is in his arms
