Touching mother’s belly, I feel you move.
Excitement glows with each touch that I hold,
fascination in life is reborn here
and love is the beginning emotion.
It seems your name brings quite a stir for them.
Mom and dad don’t agree a single bit.
Yet, I know who you are and who you’ll be…
my grandson, great and mighty is that name.
I recall when daddy was born to me,
eight pounds, one ounce and even fighting mad.
His hair, I imagine you will obtain.
(I think that is why mommy has heartburn.)
No matter whom you look like or do not,
my heart is swelling with pride as I wait.
Mommy glows with each passing day’s coming.
Daddy, well he doesn’t know what to say.
I can’t wait to meet you in the spring time!
Flowers will bloom and the sun will then shine.
The rains will cease the moment you are born
and I… I will finally see your face.
I love you,
Grandma

what a peaceful time to be born. Still cool, birds twittering, flowers beginning to bloom. My great grandchild will be born in late Sept. The end of summer for us. The heat is miserable and I picture Alyssa starting her labor in the swimming pool
