the sudden bang of a gun
fallen to heaven

    This is a beautiful poem

  • Few words and yet it stays all that need to be said to allow the reader to know the scene, take it in and feel the impact. IT's a goody

  • reminds of the Abba song though not as sad. Awesome!

  • Sis,
What a wonderful story told in so few words...sad and strong in brevity.

    Love the closing line.

    Best,

  • Superb

'tis a fine write, I'm sure you can realize which actual military battle this reminded me of. (lol) Thanks for sharing this one with us.

  • I watch this show, and it is gripping. You have managed to catch all the drama from the episode when that schoolkid shot the gun and a girl slipped away. So few words, yet so powerful an image you leave. Well done.

Reminds me of Napoleon and the Battle of Waterloo. Very well written, indeed. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

Oh my gosh... this was so subtly tragic. I loved this and I have never watched what you mentioned in the author notes, but I'll have to check it out. Although I don't know if I can watch something that's going to probably break my heart!!
    I liked this one.

  • Brilliant, Poet!!

Oh, wow. I really like the way you can write these short pieces and make me feel so much. Gee! This was great. I could imagine the sound of the gun...and the last line made me cry. Well done. I'll be sure to steer clear of this program. Again, well done.
