Ink

‘Cus I can’t stop it baby
Don’t get between the words and me
If you wanted a smooth ride
Well we can’t turn back the clocks
It’s how I’m gonna’ spend my time
And the paper may just prove me right
The money may come and it may not
But that don’t matter baby
‘Cus as long as the ink is there
I’ll dip my quill

And we’ll go on eating
And we’ll go on breathing
And I’ll go on pouring out my soul
Because, darlin’, that’s how I was built
You know where the door is
Because you bought it
And all you’re doing now is buying time
But we both know that sometimes
The ink makes you smile
‘Cus you’ve kept the all, honey

But what you’re saying, baby
Hurts so much more than this writers cramp
For the ink may smudge
But the tears can wash it all away
Take a good look around, darlin’
But don’t look me in the eye
And mention the word regret
I’ve wrote the words a thousand times
But it’s took me till now to see
I’d scribble it all out for you

This poem is pretty good. I liked it.

It opens the readers to a whole new perspective in life that may not always be seen.
