Every spring the cherry tree
Puts on her wedding gown,
Embroidered with the morning mist
And laced with feather-down.
Blushing as a virgin bride
Unveiled before the groom,
With heaven's scent embracing her
From each enamored bloom.
Cherry blossoms lift the heart
On merry wings of cheer,
To make all sad and melancholy
Moments disappear.

Ah, M...you have captured what I would like to have said as all around me are the hues of pink and white blossoms right now, and I was thinking, now what imagery or a metaphor could express what beauty in these blossoms on the trees...I thought...lace dresses...You have portrayed in imagery so well what I would love to have said, but I didn't have all the words."Blushing as a virgin bride
Unveiled before the groom,With heaven's scent embracing her from each enamored bloom"..A few extra words or not...It is a masterpiece to read! Bookmarking!

I like the image! You relate it with sweet rhythm and rhyme; this little poem is really a delight to read, when winter is finally broken in this frozen land.
