The Lost Garden

In a dark corner of a lost garden
  Underneath a spreading tree
Hides a place of much enchantment
Where dreams live ever free

Magic dances in the night air
Songs echo on the breeze
If you ever find this garden
You then would never leave

A Queen with much laughter
Rules over this tiny realm
With love for all her subjects
She stands there at the helm

With elfin knights to guard her
With fairies to sing her songs
With Pixies that do serve her
And days that are forever long

She gathers in the lost souls
From the painful land of man
Holding them with magic tenderness
As she soothes them with her song

So if you should listen to the night wind
That blows softly cross the glen
You may hear her sweet soft calling
That invites you to enter in

I still dream of that lost place
Found in the land of memories
As I search the lonely highways
For the garden my soul see's

Please tell me what you think

    Hood-Wink!

This ought to be in a book of childrens poetry

A lovable poem about what young children day dream of all the time, they tend to live in a magical world in their thoughts and dreams...you have captured the magic and story telling in this piece, it reads so tunefully except for the last line which has lost the flow, but the rest of it, is very engaging and a joy to read

You have been ambushed by a Poetic Bandit

    All the best...
