Prisoner

All day I stay locked up in this room
enveloped by the smell of her cotton candy perfume
I am like a flower in a vase or a bird in a cage
Like a moth in the light or like an actor on a stage
  captivated, she watches
Blue eyes shift, somethings going on in there
she likes to keep me to herself and no I am not scared
Actually,I love these four walls, because I am not alone
I know shes always there, like words carved in a stone.
crazed, she touches
She loves to feel me there, her fingers dance on my skin
she loves the way my teeth shine, she loves the way I grin
she loves to know I`m all alone waiting for her to come
shes the only one who really knows me or where im coming from
lovingly, she holds me
In her arms I feel so safe, lost in her eyes I drown
and dream of things like the day i will wear that red gown
and she will take me by the hand, everythings finally okay
I just wanted you to know that, forever and always...
Your prisoner I shall stay.

Please tell me what you think

    A presence

    A feeling of someone
    Perhaps from another dimension
    Perhaps from somewhere inside
    Freind or foe
    I don't know for sure
    But I'm not alone
I love this poem.....chael   tip of the hat

Beautiful! I am finding a common theme of the poetry of yours I have read. I have to say, so far, I love it all! You put such emotion into your work, so loving, completely unconditional. This is no exception. It flowed smoothly, and was just a beautiful, so sweet rolling of the tongue. Great work!

    Adorable

You express yourself so well, and I can definitely feel the love that you have for this person, and I can sense the way you feel surrounded by it. That's a strong and passionate love, and it's the kind that even if you were to want out of it I don't think finding an exit would be easy because it's everywhere. Being a prisoner to love I believe is the best form of incarceration.
