Memories of Murder

I let the wave’s crash against my legs,
Wondering how many times I allowed you
To crash against my heart.

I stare out at the rugged rocks,
Poking up out of the white-peaked water,
And think of all the times you pushed me
And let me fall onto them.

I feel the wind blow my thin dress,
Letting it caress each of my curves
As I remember how your hands used to feel
Against my skin.

I breath in the cool night air,
Loving how free I feel and looking back
On all the times with you where I was
Far from free.

I step out into the dark abyss below me,
Wondering if when I die,
It will feel like the last time you killed me.
