Our daily bread

Do everything within moderation

The ancient`s used to say

Why eat more than you can stuff

Your body does not need it

Or is it the craving of the tong

That longs the taste of Nectar

Look at you how large and plenteous

You came to be my dear

Your waist joined to your back

Square, Geometry you look

Upon the classroom`s blackboard

Big enough to write a chapter of how

To cook,

Sphagetti ala Milaneze

With lots of gravy splashed around

Covered with Parmesan

I might add a water mellon on top

For afters and there after

Flat on your belly you shall lay

Asking for soda snacks

As for the fridge is always full

Working at full blast

have mercy on it, if not yourself

Dear Lord,

Give us our daily bread.

    Wow!

I can certainly relate to this madness of over eating and being round and plump as I am - thank the Lord for my daily Bread.

A problem I am always battling,
    Great Write!

"I am their daily bread", says the Lord of Hosts and
"If anyone thirsts, let them come to me". Amen! I too have indulged more than nessecary to survive from time to time, and have payed the price for obesity. We make our choices and suffer the consequence for poor decisions. Presently and hopefully forever, I am choosing the most Holy of Paths. Thank you for such an entertaining and eye opening work of art. I pray many will understand.

  • I find this kind of funny
because its not really directed towards anyone but if you take a look at the world today they are alot of obese people out there and they know and they do nothing about it . They continue to gain the weight knowing that it harmful to themselves. Great job!

Yep, I was really thin and don't like what I have gained now, well written, you grasped the contest to it's fullest. Two typo/spelling...Line 9-joyned=joined, and spagtti-sphagetti. Blessings.

    Moderation in all Things

Well done, my darling Bro! I feel that Christ's direction in this sense of moderation was one of the reasons I could see my mother's abuse of Rx drugs, which ultimately killed her, and the abuse of alcohol I saw in so many others. So, I grew up keeping all things in moderation and, despite numerous diseases, I still live.

This definitely fulfills the contest theme and does it well! It ought to take the GOLD!

    Much luv & hugs, SisBon
