The fact that February
is so bitter means
little to me tonight,
you are warmth
and this Monday
is so cold.

Whiskey does not help
and that is obvious,
but then my eyes
caught yours,

I am captivated,
but then February
is so cold.

  • i look who have left comments here in this poem and smile

  • ah the warmth of a good woman and a good drink, what does it matter then if the air is a little chill a good poem.

The weather/temperature use just adds to the intelligence of this poem without anything more than everyday language, that is a talent. I can't help but wonder if this is just a poem about unwanted loneliness and not necessarily "the one".

Regardless I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.
