Within the darkness
of my brokenness,
shadows align my heart.
In realms of emptiness
my teardrops abate
from endless sorrows.
The sunlight of you
once enraptured my soul,
like the sweetness of
morning dew.
You were my angelic swan,
my passionate divine,
the saving grace of my
now and happily ever after.
Until the dart of your betrayal
pierced my enchanted heart,
like a Nightingale struck down
in splendorous flight.
I descended the depths of hell
in an abyss of regretful shame,
feeling foresakened by
the life of my life.
The sweet waters of my
flowing brook,
where peaceful rays of
crystal light kissed
lips of youthful yearning.
Now I lay dormant
in isles of mourning,
rearranging my priorities
of love in reflections of you.

Not a cliche, hooray
Broken hearts and betrayal like rain clouds and thunder shadow the existence of humankind. Still your words brought different visualizations of "lay dormant in isles or mourning"and the like. So, like love it made it worth reading anyway.
