the cliff of DARKness

standing on the edge of a cliff
plunging into DARKness
freefalling into a great wide open
fear no longer a factor
the unknown waits no more
time is just a frozen metaphor
life is deaths benefactor
proceeding to close a door that opens
providing light for the DARKness
after falling from the edge of a cliff

I found that the start seemed to just state things, I'm not sure if you meant it to sound upfront and honest or it just happened that way. And I can't make up my mind if I love it or not.
But it did make the last half and ending stand out. I particularly enjoyed the lines:
"time is just a frozen metaphor
    life is deaths benefactor"
Those lines were sensational and beaufifully poetic. I loved 'em.

And a very special thank you for participating in my contest and correctly abiding by all the rules!

I'm sure that she would have appreciated this. I'm sure that she would be touched. I'm sorry for your loss. I liked especially "Time is is just a frozen metaphor". For some reason that just shot out at me. Thanks for entering my contest and good luck.
