Filled with dark thoughts,
their murmur drones.
I read them like
a shaman's bones.

They whisper despair,
death, and worse.
They sing in dulcet tones,
each one a darker verse.

    An eerie pic...!! Great poem, well suited to it.

    This is a great choice of words. It's really strange hearing you write about darker poetry. You're usually so light-hearted and romantic when you pen things. Not that it's bad.

    I found this poem not only to be a very dark, but eerie in a sense.. more haunting.. the imagery that you've created with your words is vivid and powerful. the second stanza for me was my favorite, especially the last two lines. so very true..
