Perfect reflection
Standing there before me
You may look like me
You may mimic me
You may know what I am
But I look into your eyes
And I see deciet
I see lies
Lies within those vacant eyes
But I have also seen your mask
I have seen your armor shatter
I've seen your emotions crumble and fall
And you say "All things fade with time"
I do not agree, Miss Other World
And I won't apologize
For when I look at you
I can count each deception in your heart
And I am filled with disgust
What do I see before me?
Some pound of flesh
Some sack of useless life
Nothing is so moving
What do I see before me?
Some kind of abstraction
Some vessel without purpose
Nothing so special
But way beyond the pale
Finally
I ask the mystic
Of things unseen
And of the holes within myself
And she said "I have been where you have been"
I have your face
Your eyes
And your voice
But I am not you
And there is nothing here for you to find
Nothing left to know
I am not a women
I am no force of nature
Nor am I any grand idealism
I am not a life
I am no golden path
Nor am I a lover or daughter
I am not to be remembered
I am no concoction of the mind
Nor do I have a purpose
I simply am Nothing
