The repeated line does work, have you tried a villanelle? this lovely theme, full of tenderness would be an ideal candidate for such form.
Line 1, is a perfect introduction, "reach, deep, heart" in the first line allow the reader to be transported with charm into the romantic mood, of the theme.
A similar combination in line 3 works equally well.

For me L14 and 15 are the best in the poem," musky air, union with passion, joining souls" . very sound beautiful diction.

I actually got one that broke it down and that thank you for the suggestion of trying a villanelle.. I will look up the form and study it a bit and no doubt will try to shape this into one. You've given me a new challange. Thank you so very much!

WOW I love this, it is so beautiful it makes me think of the good times that my husband and I share. and that is very good as i think we always think of the bad stuff and forget the wonderful times we have together.

Ahh yes
If only it were that easy to find.... I am with you there. This is actually the first time I've been able to write about love, and have allowed myself to dream about it for a long, long time. It is an elusive fire isn't it?
