I hang from the edge
of the precipice
I gaze into the abyss
and I see the depths
of emptiness
that stretch forever
Strong arms supporting
my weight
Heart broken with ache
My minds eye
fills with visions
of past mistakes
So many yet so few
a state of debate
Why do I lose them
after just a few dates
Could it be them
or could it be me,
that I should hate
I can make no sense
of it all
each time that I fall
I crawl
back to the heights
Where carnal pleasures
find yet another delight
An endless parade
of flesh and blight
Hanging from the edge
over an ocean of love
In a list

well spun poet I loved some of the random rhymes
The inner turmoil of this poem is well conveyed

I believe it was Nietzsche who said "If you stare into the Abyss long enough the Abyss stares back at you."
Perhaps that is relevant with an abyss of love as well.
Good write, I really like this.
